Wheelyboats are a national charity that help get disabled people out on the water and actively participating in waterborne activities. Wheelyboats overcome the physical disadvantages people with mobility and other impairments face when trying to access the enormous pleasures and beneficial experiences offered by waterborne activities. With roll on/roll off access boarding the boats is easy and will allow those who wouldn’t normally get the chance to view the historic docks from the water to get a truly unique experience and get up close and personal with the awe-inspiring Tall Ships.
Christian Drewitt, Disability Marketing Assistant for Marketing Gloucester said: “as a wheelchair user the WheelyBoats were an exciting prospect to get up close and personal with the ships. Having tried them they were great, friendly and easily accessible. It is a great attraction for people with all disabilities and I highly recommend for people to give it a go whilst visiting the Tall Ships”.
It will be on a first come, first served basis so be sure to head down early and secure your place.
