GETTING TO THE FESTIVAL

There's lots of ways to get to Tall Ships Festival this May. See here for some advice on the best (and greenest ways to get to us). It's worth noting that Tall Ships Festival is a very popular event, and parking can be difficult, so we would recommend you spend some time planning your journey so you can get to us in a comfortable way. We would recommend public transport or active travel options over taking the car, if possible.

E-SCOOTERS

Voi is the e-scooter hire service in the city. E-scooters are available for hire throughout Gloucester city centre and surrounding suburbs, with parking zones at key transport hubs like bus and rail stations. Vehicles can be located and unlocked by downloading the Voi app onto your smartphone. To use the service, people must be 18 years of age or older, have a full or provisional driving license and pass a safety test before their first ride. Scooters can be unlocked via the app. First time users can get 2 x 15 minute free journeys by entering the code ‘TallShipsF24’ in the Voi app.

Riders are encouraged to review the map before setting off on their journey to familiarise themselves with the operating area. The nearest parking spots from Voi for the Tall Ships Festival are:

  • Commercial Rd near the North Warehouse

  • Southgate St near Quality Furniture store

  • Llanthony Rd near TGI Friday’s restaurant

BUS

The bus fare cap grant has been extended - which means that you can travel on all local services for £2 one way! An affordable, sustainable travel option. We highly recommend!

Travelling into Gloucester from surrounding areas to the city's new transport hub is quick and easy. Check out Stagecoach's website for timetables and to plan your journey.

PARK & RIDE

A park and ride service operates from Waterwells in Quedegley, very convenient from M5 junction 12 and the South. More information here.

TRAIN

Trains from around the region and beyond regularly arrive at Gloucester's Station. From there you can jump on a shuttle bus to take you to the festival.
